Thompson 1817 - The Bermudas or Summers Islands (large composite with the Bahamas and Cuba). Neele, London. Bound into Thomson's New General Atlas published in 1817, the map was engraved in 1816 as noted thereon. The Bermuda depiction is based on the rare 1810 Jefferys/Laurie & Whittle nautical chart. Hamilton is shown as the new capital and main roads and telegraphs are depicted rather than the usual local parishes. In very good condition, framed in Bermuda cedar and acid-free mat.
